NT-proBNP a new test which is becoming very popular with the medical faculty to help diagnose heart failure and to grade the severity of that heart failure, is available on Siemens Dimension Analyzers.

As part of a rapid differential diagnosis, the NT-proBNP concentration in the blood stream is suitable for identification of cardiac insufficiency in patients with acute respiratory distress as being either very likely or very unlikely, whereupon appropriate treatment can be applied or other causes for the respiratory distress can quickly be sought.
